Matthew Gibson

Matthew Gibson moved to North Carolina at age 6 and grew up in the town of Elkin. He was raised in the church and made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ at age 9 while at a revival service with family and friends. Although he was saved at a young age, it was during his early 20s that his faith was truly tested, and through many hard lessons, it put down deeper roots. Matthew is beyond grateful to the Lord for holding him fast through every joy and difficulty.

Matthew developed a fondness for music at a young age. He would go on to earn a degree from Appalachian State University in Music Performance, concentrating in piano and sacred music. Not long after, he moved back to his hometown and began to attend Salem Baptist Church, where he met his future wife, Candace. They were married in October of 2021 and now have two beautiful children, Laelyn and Jack.
